Payroll & HRIS

Systems for employee records, payroll, benefits, time, organization, onboarding, and workforce reporting.

Buying context

Why it matters

HR systems hold identity, pay, tax, benefit, and employment data and often trigger access changes elsewhere. Accuracy, confidentiality, role separation, and timely employee lifecycle events are critical.

Due diligence

Questions to ask

  1. Which payroll, tax, benefit, time, recruiting, performance, and access-lifecycle functions share one employee record?
  2. How are bank-account, pay-rate, tax, direct-deposit, and administrative changes independently verified?
  3. Can access be limited for executives, HR staff, managers, payroll processors, and vendor support?
  4. How are terminated employees, retroactive changes, corrections, filings, and year-end records reconciled?
